The Uniform :
Taekwondo uniform in the korean language is "Dobok". Every taekwondo student or master must have a dobok. The dobok between student and master are different. the difference located on collar. The student have the white collar or if they have some skills they will use red and black collar and for the master have a black collar.
That is the standart uniform, but some people wearing another color of their uniform like black,blue,red.
The Belt's
Belt Ranking System:
White - White stripe Yellow - Yellow - Yellow stripes green - Green - Green stripe Blue - Blue - Blue stripe Red - Red - Red stripe Black - Red stripe's 2 Black - Black.
But now the rules has been change, the White stipe yellow has been eliminated.
And for Black belt, they have some Ranking system with Dan like this:
-First Dan
-Second Dan
-Third Dan
-Fourth Dan
-Fifth Dan
-Sixth Dan
-Seventh Dan
-Eight Dan
-Ninth Dan
WHITE
Indicates a person who was innocent and lay on Taekwon-Do. Uniform white symbolizes purity.
YELLOW
Indicates seeds Tae Kwon-Do has been given to well cared for and also symbolizes the light of the sun.
GREEN
Indicates plant growth after the seeds are planted, gaining strength as a Tae Kwon-Do and emerging capabilities.
BLUE
Indicates plants into trees growing into the sky as a result of the good and right training, also mastered the technique of Tae Kwon-Do.
RED
Indicates strong roots as an increasingly advanced techniques. This color also shows the danger and warning the opponent to stay away.
BLACK
The opposite of white, signifying the maturity and proficiency in Tae Kwon-Do. Black also shows the endless universe and also shows the wearer the power of darkness and fear.
A student should not be preoccupied with achieving belt ranks, they should realize that training and technique are more important goal to strive for. Of course, a potential attacker athletes also will not care what color belt enemy.
